How much can be withdrawn for Christmas loot?
The amount that Caixa releases will depend on the total balance accumulated by the worker in his or her FGTS accounts, which can be active (from the current job) or inactive (from previous jobs).
Let’s take an example: If a person has R$800 available, he can withdraw 40% of that total (equivalent to R$320) plus a fixed premium of R$50, totaling R$370 at the end. It will be less than the authorized percentage. In the case of the additional premium, it can be up to 2900 BRL.
