São Paulo – ABEV3 (ABEV3) ended the third quarter of 2023 with a consolidated net profit of R$4.015 billion. This result represents a significant increase of 24.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In addition to this good news, the beverage giant also announced an adjusted net profit of R$4.038 billion, a value 25.1% higher than that recorded in the previous year.

What about adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA)?

As for EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization), an improvement can also be observed, closing at R$6.584 billion. This means an increase of 17.6% compared to the same period last year and 43.7% in organic concept.

    What about Ambev’s net revenues?

Between July and September, Ambev’s net revenues amounted to R$20.317 billion, a value that, compared to the same period last year, meant a 1.3% decrease in the reported concept, but a representative advance of 19.3% in the organic concept.

According to a report by the company, the net revenue performance was driven by growth in NOR/hl (net revenue per hectoliter) of 21.7%.

What led to these results for Ambiff?

In the company’s own words, the result was achieved through a combination of resilient net revenues, despite a 2.0% decline in sales volumes, as well as tailwinds in exchange and commodity rates (quick reference aluminum), linked to the development of greater efficiency in terms of distribution and administrative expenses.

The performance of organic sales volume in Brazil was practically stable (-0.1%), while growth in the non-alcoholic beverages (NAB) segment amounted to 2.8%.

The results presented by Ambev are consistent with the company’s sustainable growth over the years, confirming its ability to deliver significant returns even in the face of negative scenarios.

Therefore, the coming year is expected to continue to deliver consistent performance and continuous improvement in terms of growth and profitability.
