Actress Nella Tavares passed away in the early hours of Saturday (4), at the age of 73. She lived in Lumiere, Nova Friburgo, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro, where she was a member of the theater group P-na-Tbua, and died in Rio das Ostras, in the Lake District, where she was undergoing medical examinations.
Nella was diagnosed with emphysema in November last year and was hospitalized four times due to the illness. On Monday (30), she was in Rio das Ostras when she fell ill and was hospitalized again.
And her daughter, on one of the artist’s social networking pages, published a message yesterday evening (4) in which she thanked the tribute and informed her that there would be no awakening.

Nella Tavares was a journalist, actress, director, writer, and television presenter. She began her acting career in 1968, in Teatro Obinio, in the play Inspector Geral, written by Gogol. She was the heroine of the play Anti-Nelson Rodrigues, written by the same playwright, and led the Blc-Brd company along with her husband, Paulo Cesar Perrio.
