The famous battle between SNK and CAPCOM characters gets a “new” chapter. This Saturday (20) a modern version of the classic SNK VS. CAPCOM game called SVC CHAOS, which was originally released in 2003, was announced. Excellent news for fans of old school fighting games.

This is arguably a dream match of epic proportions, and fortunately it won't be long before it becomes available to players. The PC version will be released today on Steam, while it will arrive on consoles on Monday (22).

A poster for the game has been revealed, showing some of the main fighters from each side of this conflict:

The title will feature 36 distinct characters from various series from SNK (primarily The King of Fighters) and CAPCOM (primarily Street Fighter) facing off against each other in frantic battles, with new netcode for undoing and tournament modes that allow for fun, quick online matches. All while maintaining the classic visuals and controls of the original game that fans loved.

SNK vs CAPCOM will have an art gallery.

A new Hitbox Viewer has also been added, providing a detailed view of each character's collision zones, along with a comprehensive Gallery Mode, with 89 illustrations (including key arts, character portraits, and much more) for SNK vs CAPCOM fans.
