The interim government has opened an investigation to investigate the case of an employee appointed by the Ministry of Health who embezzled funds from the municipal government to hire her boyfriend as a fictitious employee. NS Column Les Partisans revealed the issue on Monday (23). The 22-year-old boy received a total of R$33,000 from the Ministry of Health, as a self-employed (RPA) payment receipt as if he was a network doctor. The employee was acquitted and the case was registered with the 105th District of the Civil Police.

According to the column, the employee held a position in the Department of Health and worked in the sector of issuing payments by RPA. For three months: April, May and June, the female employee posted the name of her boyfriend, who had not been appointed by the city council, on the payroll as if he were a doctor in the municipal network. Three receipts were paid by the Department of Health in the amount of R$9,000, R$11,000 and R$13,000.

The Health Department informed Tripona that once the suspicious operation was identified, it collected all documents, opened an investigation and fired the contractor, who has been working in the department since 2015, where she started as an intern. The case was also taken to the police, to start an investigation to investigate the case and filed a lawsuit for inappropriateness against the former employee.

The municipality said that after the procedures, a family member of the former employee was present both in the Secretariat and at the police station and pledged to return the amounts. The Secretariat stated that this was a specific case that had been identified and that the competent bodies were duly investigating it.
