According to Casa Vogue, Vijay Mallya, an Indian businessman known for his extravagance, decided to redefine luxury by building a stunning palace atop a 120-meter-tall skyscraper in Bengaluru, India. Valued at R$100 million, this massive property stands out in the urban landscape. However, Mallya may never enjoy his luxurious stay.

The palace is located at the top of the Kingfisher Towers, a 33-storey upscale residential building. The property occupies over 3,000 square meters over two floors and has amenities such as a helipad, lush gardens, an infinity pool and a 360-degree observation deck.

Irfan Razzaq, president of Prestige Estates Projects, the company responsible for developing the tower, told Business Insider that building the palace at this height was a challenge, but they were able to implement the project as planned.

However, the palace has an interesting story behind its grandeur. It was designed as Mallya's residence, but the businessman may never live in the property. In March 2016, Malia fled to the United Kingdom after being accused of fraud and accumulating millions of dollars in debt. Since then, India has been trying to extradite him to no avail.

Mallya, who built his empire with the Kingfisher beer brand, present in 69 countries, fled India while his palace was still under construction. Now, this imposing structure towers over the Bengaluru skyline, but its future is uncertain. British authorities say they will not allow the country to become a haven for those seeking to escape justice, but the extradition process is complex and long.
