    The free GarageBand app gives users access to a simulated recording studio, where they can create, play, record and share music wherever they are.     Capture, write and organize a diary containing ideas, schedules, lists, tasks and notes with the free iPhone app, Bear. Used by writers, lawyers, chefs, entrepreneurs, teachers, students, and parents, for example, this app makes it possible to write a book, jot down daily tasks, all privately and securely, as well as record notes about life. Some of the differences include the ability to draft ideas, create notes with Siri, add tags, choose and pin note themes, and combine writing styles.

    iPhone users can also rely on the Lake app to color in artist-drawn illustrations.
