Marketers will continue to 'go digital'

Search Engine Optimisation News

Professional marketers will increasingly use digital channels such as search engine optimisation and website marketing as they look to highlight the strong return-on-investment such channels can offer.

They are doing this simply because businesses increasingly expect their marketing professionals to offer them concrete evidence that their money is being spent wisely.

Speaking at this year's Technology for Marketing & Advertising event in London, industry expert Darren Dutton said that businesses are going to start applying "a bit more pressure" to their in-house marketers and SEO Company partners as they look to realise performance targets.

Mr Dutton claimed that search engine marketing services will become increasingly in demand and this will boost the uptake of analytics software and other marketing data technologies.

He suggested that using better systems or solutions for analysing data will give businesses a better return-on-investment and also allow them to track their campaigns - whether they are SEO (search engine optimisation) initiatives with a search marketing agency or pay per click advertising - much more easily.

Moreover, levying technology to help boost return-on-investment via digital marketing channels could soon become a necessity as competition - particularly in SEO and social media marketing - hots up. In this respect, third-party search engine marketing companies that specialise in boosting firm's Google rankings could become even more cost effective.

Commenting on the increasingly complicated field of SEO, SEO Consult said: "Constant research and development needs to be taking place and this can be too demanding for a business owner running their company and running their campaign.

"If you own a business, it is important your company does not end up neglected. The service and products you offer are still of utmost importance and you mustn't let this aspect of your business slide."

The website concluded that firms struggling to keep on top of their SEO campaign should hire a dedicated search engine marketing company.

SEO firms can easily highlight where existing strategies are falling down and what techniques could be used to further boost a business up search engine results page listings.
