Tweaking a website 'can improve SEO'

It may be the case that firms can improve their search engine optimisation (SEO) simply by tweaking their existing sites, one expert claims.

Some advice suggests that websites are pulled down completely and restructured, but this may not be necessary, Karl Hodge revealed to Tech Radar.

He emphasised that a website will not see its search engine optimisation(SEO) results improve overnight, but that gradual changes would start to reap rewards.

Among his advice is adding alt text to images, as after all, search engines cannot rank anything other than words.

Another option is to speed up websites, as this may help the ranking position of a page on Google, Mr Hodge suggested.

Figures from Epsilon International show that email open rates in the UK remained consistent in the third quarter of the year, standing at 19.7 per cent compared to 19.6 per cent last year.

Open rates for business to business, however, stood at 23.8 per cent.
