Search Engine Optimisation News
Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the best way for small firms to boost business on a tight budget, according to one industry expert.
If nothing else, businesses should optimise page titles and add meta keywords and descriptions to all of their web pages, recommends Stephen Woessner, author of The Small Business Owner's Handbook to search engine optimisation.
Speaking to bmighty.com, Mr Woessner claims businesses can significantly boost their site traffic and increase Google rankings in just a few weeks.
Even if small and medium-sized businesses are using content management systems that do not let them add meta data to their pages, they can still add a description to every page, he adds.
Mr Woessner pointed out that for those without the money to invest in Google Adwords, SEO is "nearly free".
However, he also noted that outsourcing was a good way for businesses to optimise pages if they did not have the time to invest doing it in-house.
Google's recent move into real-time search results means users can now find accurate, up-to-the-minute information and companies must step up their SEO(search engine optimisation) game, online marketing expert Sam Tilston has said.Â
