Search Engine Optimisation News
Headlines provide a natural, easy way to add search
engine optimisation keywords to online content, search marketing agencies have been advised.
Writing for the website SEO chat, KC Morgan recommends that agencies make the most of headlines to grab the attention of both readers and internet search engines.
Internet readers linger on web pages for only around a minute, he says, so agencies have to grab their attention fast.
Mr Morgan recommends keeping headline words relatively short and using large, bold words isolated from the rest of the text to make titles as arresting as possible.
Internet entrepreneur Dean Hunt recommends agencies think about the search terms internet users may input to look for relevant content and use as many of these words as possible in titles without them appearing forced.
Subtitles are also useful for breaking up text and adding more SEO(search engine optimisation) keywords, says Mr Morgan, as well as enabling the reader to grasp what the content is about in a single glance.
