Search Engine Optimisation News
In order to help search engine optimisation (SEO) of sales content on a website, a business should be prepared to put their products singularly as opposed to plurally, it is asserted.
Jaamit Durrani of Econsultancy explained that many "oft-rehashed" SEO(search engine optimisation) tips tend to overlook some of the most basic pointers that are very necessary in converting sales, with the concept of pluralisation being one of them.
He said that instead of listing the example of digital SLR cameras as such, it may be better to put "Digital SLR cameras: Buy a digital SLR camera here" to get the best of both worlds.
This is because people will only ever search for one as it is very rare that people need more than that.
Mr Durrani concluded: "Just this tweak alone has brought me some great rankings for those elusive singular versions of category keywords which were previously ranking pretty poorly.
"Of course, using the singular version in anchor text of inbound links is the next step."
Earlier this month, Chris Boggs of Search Engine Watch asserted that ranking on its own does not equate to successful SEO(search engine optimisation) implementation, with domains and market-cornering being very important as well.
