Google’s chief executive officer Eric Schmidt has said he wants to "create the perfect search engine".

The search engine giant recently announced it was preparing to roll out 'Google Caffeine,' its faster, more real-time search algorithm, along with updates to its AdWords and many other features.

But it looks like Google is not going to stop updating anytime soon.

Talking about what makes the perfect search engine, Google vice president Marissa Mayer said: "It would understand speech, questions, phrases, what entities you’re talking about, concepts.

"It would be able to search all the worlds information, different ideas and concepts, and bring them back to you in a presentation that was really informative and coherent."

Ms Mayer added that Google was made up to five changes to its technology per week that were visible to end-users in the user interface but did not publicise ranking changes.

She added that Google was making changes to our ranking algorithm at the rate of two per day.
