According to technology expert Kabir Bedi, there are six techniques that can greatly improve the effectiveness of search engine optimisation (SEO).
Writing for Promotion World, he commented that keywords should be used in anchor texts, companies should aim to get their link text right rather than concentrate solely on getting link backs from pages with high rankings, and use widgets.
He added that selecting keywords should not be guesswork, saying: "Use tools like Google Adwords etc. to find out terms that have high conversion rates and optimise for the same. Also, don't forget to keep a check on the search volumes for the terms."
Mr Bedi went on to say that website owners should not waste time getting links from No Follow sites and recommended having a flat website hierarchy.
