Supermarket giant Tesco has boosted its online marketing channel with the launch of a new iPhone application.
The retailer has launched its new Tesco Finder, which allows users to find the nearest Tesco store and look through the shop's product range.
It comes shortly after the release of the Ocado on the Go application by a competing online retailer.
However, unlike the Ocado version, Tesco's application does not allow shoppers to make any purchases virtually.
The Ocado app also allowed shoppers to make a list of purchases while they were offline.
Trying out the device, Econsultancy's Graham Charlton said that the application was easy to use and provides useful information about facilities.
However, in his post on the company's blog, he suggested that the failure to include information about opening hours is an unfortunate oversight.
There is also an option to bookmark stores on the application, for easy access at a later date.
